💡 Tips
Bumboats leave once 12 passengers are on board; weekend mornings get queues. Bike shops in the village rent bicycles, and NParks recommends renting a helmet or bringing your own. At Ketam Mountain Bike Park the Blue Square trail is for beginners but still has steep, narrow sections — keep kids off the black trails. Part of the Chek Jawa Coastal Loop is closed for maintenance from 15 Sep 2026 to end-April 2027 and the guided tour is suspended; the Mangrove Loop stays open. Camping permits must be applied for two weeks ahead. Avoid forested areas in heavy rain, and bring insect repellent.
